A little about me

Arezzo Italy

Studied abroad in Italy

During my time at the University of Oklahoma, I was fortunate enough to study abroad in Arezzo, Italy. The University had a special program there, so I was able to take a full schedule of engineering classes while experiencing the beautiful history and culture of Italy and other parts of Europe.

Diverse experience from jobs

Before engineering, I had meaningful work experience. I've worked at KFC/Taco Bell, a Love's travel stop, and UPS. While obtaining my M.A. in Social Sciences Education and B.S. in Computer Engineering, I ran a vending business for my father due to illness. This required me to drive all around Texas during each school break.

Meeting a variety of people while doing that job is possibly the most valuable experience I've ever had.

DoD SMART Scholarship recipient

I will be forever grateful for the assistance I received from winning the SMART Scholarship. This is a big reason why I've stayed working for the government more than four years past my work committment.

CERTS

Working for a Cyber Engineering Group, I've had experience outside of normal software development. From analyzing and monitoring installation networks to programming switches for subnets, working for the government gave me the opportunity to obtain cyber security and agile certifications.
